This college imparts co-education in +2 and +3 level in Arts, Science & Commerce and also provides M.A., M.Sc., M.Com. In the +3 level Model Syllabus course has been introduced. In addition, the college provides B.Ed programmee and BBA, BCA, MA(PMIR), MBA (Agri- Business) in PPM mode.

Two new vocational subjects Retail and Tourism & Hospitality Training have been introduced as a elective subject from the session 2021-22.

I. Compulsory Subjects

• 1. English
• 2. MIL (Oriya / AE /Sanskrit)
• 3. Environmental Education
• 4. Yoga

• 1. Information Technology is a self-financing course for a period of two years. A student has to deposit Rs. 1500/- per annum for this course. Even if a student leaves the college in the 18' year, he/she has to deposit the fee for the 2nd year too.


• 2. Elective subjects shall be offered on the basis of marks secured in the qualifying examination and subject to availability of seats.


• 3. Besides compulsory subjects, a student has to select the elective subjects. No one is allowed to take two language subjects (Odia with Sanskrit)

As per the CHSE, Orissa letter No. 4154/CHDR Dt. 01.05.2006 the course shall be offered and examined in the following pattern

• 1. The syllabus for 2 years course of each subject that divided into two parts namely 1st year and 2nd year carrying 100 Marks each.


• 2. The college shall conduct one examination of 700 marks at the end of the 1st year. Marks secured in that examinations shall be considered for promotion of students to the 2nd year class.
• 3. The examination of 600 marks to be conducted by the CHSE shall be held at the end of second year. Pass Certificate will be awarded to the successful students on the basis of their performance in the CHSE examination only.
• 4. Yoga will be taught as a compulsory subject and shall be assessed at the College/Higher Secondary School level for a total of 100 marks i.e. 50 marks in theory and 50 marks in practical. Theory portion will be taught in the 1 st year and the practical will be taught in the 2nd year/ Marks will be awarded in the Test Examination in 2nd year and sent to the Council.
• 5. Environmental Education will be taught and assessed at the college level for 100 marks (70 Marks for theory and 30 marks for project work at the end of the 1st year) The grades (A, B, C or D in order of merit are to be awarded by the college and the same shall be recorded in the pass Certificate given by the council.
• 6. The pass certificate for the examination shall be awarded as follows:
  • i) Subjects with Practical 30% of the total marks shall be diverted for practical examinations and the remaining 70% thereof, for theory. A candidate has to pass separately in theory and practical Pass marks in Biology shall be calculated taking together the marks secured in both Botany and Zoology.
  • ii) Pass mark shall be 30% of total marks in theory paper and 40% of the total marks in practical paper in each subject with 35% of the total marks in the aggregate.
