Gurukul model of education,Yoga and pranayama fascinates world with the pedagogical practices of a great civilisation .Nalanda,Takshashila, Vikramashila are some of the seats of learning popular for laying indelible print in the history Indian education . Rajdhani college ,Bhubaneswar became a seat of learning as a Govt.college in 1973 .The college offers teaching in 22 Major subjects at Degree and 17 Courses at P.G level along with professional courses like B .Ed ,BBA and BCA and MBA (Agri) with more than 6200 students. The motto of this institution is -tamaso ma yotrigamaya . Lead me from darkness to light. Education dispels darkness of ignorance through the light of the knowledge. Knowledge is power and it empowers human being to reach the goal . Every moment there is learning from different sources to add new knowledge. Process of learning and acquisition of knowledge can be accelerated through self enquiry, self learning and self introspection.Our mission is to facilitate this endeavour and enable all students to grow to achieve 21st learning skills -critical thinking, collaboration, cooperation, digital learning and life skills education leading to problem solving by creating positive vibration in the campus. Apart from class room teaching and learning students can participate various activities like experiments in research laboratory , sports , NCC for Boys and Girls, NSS,YRC and career counselling for personality development.
